Making Life Changes and Finding your Personal Destiny
Have you hit a breaking point?
You’ve put years of time into your career, into your family, your marriage, then something changes, abruptly. Did it first start within you growing stronger from your general feeling of boredom and dissatisfaction or was there a tragic loss that pulled the emergency brake on your life? Whatever the cause, now it’s time for making some life changes.
Is it Too Late? It’s Never too Late
First of all, feeling behind in life is a common experience, but the truth is that we are NEVER too old to switch course or start over. Ignore the haters and take control of your life. It’s never too late.
Personal Experience: Making the Leap
As an example, I got a divorce in my thirties. I left a perfectly well-paying career in insurance risk management (I’m not kidding), a job that respected me and had room for growth in order to go to graduate school for art therapy. At first, people told me I was making a huge mistake and that I would never find a better situation than what I had. Despite the naysayers, I made the leap and then, became a different person, one who is happy and fulfilled.
Discovering Your Path
Furthermore, if you’re feeling lost or bored, unsure of your goals or desires, don’t worry. The work I do with dreams, creativity, and depth psychology can help you figure out who you are, where you’ve been, and what story you want to be living now and in the future. In fact, anything you want is outside your comfort zone.
Taking the First Step to Making Life Changes
Similarly, you don’t have to know what your goals are or where your destination is to make the first step. You don’t have to know where you are going or what you want life to look like when you get there. We can figure that out by listening to the voice of your unconscious, that small steady voice in you who you maybe haven’t heard in a while.
