Diet plans, gym memberships, habit trackers, and “new year, new me” messaging start flooding every corner of your life — long before you’re emotionally ready for any of it.
But here’s the truth:
Resolutions are built on restriction.
They demand perfection, discipline, and self-correction.
They imply something is wrong with you — something that needs fixing.
Most of the women I work with already carry enough pressure.
They’re overstimulated, exhausted, and holding the emotional weight of everyone around them.
They don’t need another rulebook.
Why Intentions Feel Different
Intentions come from nourishment — not punishment.
They grow from curiosity, not scarcity.
Where resolutions command:

A Culture Addicted to Productivity
We live in a capitalistic, patriarchal system obsessed with progress, achievement, and constant self-optimization.
It pushes women harder at the exact moment when their bodies are begging for the opposite.
I’ve written before about our culture of overstimulation — the dopamine loops, the numbing, the constant noise.
Winter was always meant to be a time of inwardness.
Intention setting honors that rhythm.
It helps you slow down, feel your real needs, and choose from a place of truth — not pressure.
